Little Flyers Childcare is a well-established family owned group of nurseries and out of school care within Edinburgh and West Lothian. This role is based at our Little Flyers setting at Ingliston, near Edinburgh Airport.

Successful candidate would be expected to:
· Hold an HNC/SVQ 3 in Childcare & Education or equivalent and willing to undertake further training.
· Strong knowledge of GIRFEC, Realising the Ambition, Curriculum for Excellence, My World Outdoors amongst other local and national guidance.
· A knowledge of Outdoor Education /Forest School would be advantageous- however a passion for working in the outdoors and a willingness to learn is essential.
· Supporting and developing an enabling environment that is child led using indoors, outdoors, and beyond.
· Self-motivate and strong, outward thinking person who can lead and support.
· Effective communicator with excellent customer service skills.
· Be a positive role model within a great team, ensuring delivery of high-quality practice with a passion to meeting the individual needs of all children including those who require additional support for learning.
· Keep up to date with latest best practice.
· Be able to display high quality practice and monitor the delivery of rich learning opportunities and exceptional care that helps all children to develop and meets their individual needs.
· Reliable and motivated individual with a passion for childcare and development, who can work on their own initiative.
· To observe, plan and assess children as a key person and upload information on the Family software app.
Successful candidates will be subject to positive references, PVG update and required registration with the SSSC.
Part-time hours: 20 – 37.5 per week
