Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Manager to oversee the daily operations of our preschool facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a background in early childhood education, ensuring a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. This role requires effective communication with staff, parents, and the community, while driving the vision and mission of our preschool.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall operations of the preschool, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Develop and implement educational programmes that promote child development and learning.
• Lead, mentor, and support a team of educators, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children’s progress and any concerns that may arise.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging environment for children to explore and learn.
• Organise staff training sessions, supervisions, observations etc to enhance professional development in early childhood education practices.
• Drive initiatives that promote community involvement and awareness of the preschool’s offerings.
• Monitor children’s progress through assessments and observations, adapting programmes as necessary to meet individual needs.
• Work towards requirements including Ofsted, Local authority and driving plans related to this.

Requirements

• Proven experience in managing a childcare or nursery setting is essential,
• Experience of working with children aged 9 months to 4 years of age, over 48 weeks per annum between hours of 7.30am – 5.30pm.
• Strong background in early childhood education with relevant qualifications.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Exceptional communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to effectively manage relationships with children, parents, staff, and external stakeholders.
• A genuine passion for working with young children and understanding their developmental needs.
• Experience in implementing educational frameworks that support child learning outcomes is desirable.
