Job Description
To oversee the efficient day-to-day management of Snap’s Short Breaks Service – ensuring the delivery of high quality, creative and safe activities for disabled children and young people.
Bexley Snap are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced individual who has strong communication skills with disabled children and young people/families/colleagues and proven ability to lead a team. We require a positive role model who can facilitate effective working relationships and provide motivation, guidance and support to staff and volunteers through briefings/debriefings, team, and individual supervisions.

Working hours are 9:15am – 4:15pm on Saturdays and 9:00am – 4:00pm during holiday scheme.
1 year contract.
Equates to £5,492 salary and 5 ½ days annual leave plus auto enrolment into pension scheme.

Skills and abilities needed
- Ability to demonstrate the skills necessary to motivate, encourage, organise, lead and supervise a staff team in a professional manner in an informal working environment
- Understanding of the challenges for and potential of disabled children. Demonstrate a capacity for the enthusiasm and energy that children require
- Ability to plan and organise workload and competing priorities and delegate tasks as required
- Ability to work the flexible hours that this post requires and at any site in the borough of Bexley
- Ability to ensure confidentiality is kept at all times
- Demonstrate experience of working with disabled children
- Effective written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills
- To be reliable, responsible (key holder) and a good timekeeper
- To be a positive role model

- Salary Offer £15.24 - £16.25 per hour, depending on experience. Progressing to £16.73. Salary £5,548 - £5,915, progressing to £6,090.
- Experience 3 - 5 Years
- Qualifications To hold a GSCE in English (grade C or 4 minimum) or equivalent. To hold a Level 3 minimum qualification in Child Care, Play Work, Youth Work, or equivalent. A minimum of two year’s experience of working with disabled children.
