Job Description

The role of the Deputy Room Leader is to help ensure that all children receive the highest standards of care and education. This will be achieved working closely with the children on a daily basis whilst also assisting the Tiny Tuskers Manager to provide professional leadership and management of Tiny Tuskers.

In the absence of the Tiny Tuskers Manager, the Deputy Room Leader will undertake the overall day-to-day leadership of Tiny Tuskers.

The Deputy Room Leader will also take the lead on planning the provision for the holiday club which runs throughout the school holidays.

Job Requirements

• Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a nursery setting or equivalent experience
• Leadership experience as room leader or deputy room leader is desirable.
• Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Early Years education
• Experience of using ICT and online learning journals, such as Tapestry
• Ability to work as part of a team and recognise the importance of promoting happiness and kindness throughout the school
• Ability to relate to, and communicate with children, parents, and staff effectively and the ability to work diplomatically
• Ability to use initiative and take responsibility
• Flexibility to work across both Nursery rooms as required
