Early Years Practitioner ( Level 3 ) 24 views

Southfield Park ASC offers care to children aged 4-11 years from Southfield Park Primary School. The Club is open from 3-6pm term time.

The job holder will report to the manager and must be able to fit in with an existing dynamic team. We are looking for a person who can create a fun, happy and safe environment for children to play in and develop their full potential.

· Provide play opportunities in a safe environment

· Prepare and serve snack

· Communicate with colleagues, peers and parents

· The successful candidate must hold an NVQ Level 3 Diploma for Early Years Practitioner or equivalent. Examples of equivalents are: EG CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education (Early Years Educator) or CACHE Level 3 in Playwork.

· Must have a sound knowledge of safeguarding and child protection issues in line with current legislation.

· Working with children in a non-discriminative and multi-cultural setting

· Willing to undertake staff training which may be after work or at weekends

· Preferably a current 12 hour paediatric first aid certificate

· Experience of working in a similar environment would be advantageous.

· Appointment will be subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS check

Part-time hours: 15 per week

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Salary: £9.00-£11.00 per hour
