Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated, nurturing and experienced Qualified Nursery Practitioner (to Level 3 or equivalent) to join our team. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children in our nursery setting. Your role will involve creating a safe and stimulating environment where children can learn, play, and grow.
Duties:
– Provide attentive care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
– Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to promote the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of children
– Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters curiosity, creativity, and independence
– Observe and assess children’s progress, documenting their achievements and areas for improvement
– Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding their child’s development, daily activities, and any concerns or issues that may arise
– Collaborate with other nursery staff to plan and coordinate daily routines, meals, nap times, and outdoor play
– Maintain a clean and organised nursery environment, including regular cleaning of toys, equipment, and facilities
– Adhere to health and safety regulations and follow nursery policies and procedures
Experience:
– Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is essential
– Knowledge of Ofsted, The EYFS and Safeguarding is essential
– Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
– Ability to engage with children in a caring and compassionate manner
– Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively
