We are located on St Mary’s Road, Hayling Island. We have 2 dedicated rooms providing childcare for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years.

A Catering Assistant is responsible for maintaining a high standard of hygiene, health, and safety following EHO regulations within the kitchen. A Catering Assistant must always set a good example by their personal and professional behaviour. You will be provided with an Employee Handbook and Induction training to support your role. To accommodate reasonable dietary requirements such as allergies, intolerances, and religious beliefs and provide alternative meals respecting parents’ decisions on their child’s diet. To ensure all dietary procedures are followed, dietary requirement needs are met, and when required, meet and liaise with parents professionally to understand their child’s dietary needs and how best to accommodate them. Complete any records, documentation, charts and other administration required to meet EHO requirements promptly.
Maintain a high level of hygiene and personal hygiene, adhering to all food hygiene regulations and promoting
healthy habits for all children.
Carry out cleaning duties, daily tasks, and maintenance of equipment, ensuring that all equipment is regularly
cleaned and disinfected.
To keep confidential any information regarding the children, their families or other staff that is acquired as
part of their role.

liaise with parents professionally to obtain a thorough understanding of their child’s dietary needs and how best to accommodate them.

Ensure the kitchen is set up, well maintained and well stocked with all the necessary equipment and
ingredients.
Maintain a high level of hygiene and personal hygiene adhering to all food hygiene regulations and promoting healthy habits for all children.
