Trainee Early Years Team Manager 18 views

Freshlings Nursery is located within the campus of Plymouth University and provides high quality childcare and education services.

We have an exciting, new opportunity for a management trainee to lead and support the development of our setting to enable us to build on our current successes and drive continual improvement.

This position would be suited to someone who has experience supervising staff, and being a Deputy, in an early years setting and is looking for the next step in their career. The role will balance the operational management whilst retaining practical elements of childcare and EYFS education. You will need to be reflective and strive for the best quality care for children and families.

You will be supported and mentored over 12 months with guidance from the Early Years Childcare and Education Development Manager; getting to know the setting’s functions and operations and supporting our management team in the organising and directing of the operational workflow of the team.

At the end of a successful 12-month training period, you will be equipped to work autonomously in relation to the day-to-day management of the setting. Driving the continuous development of Freshlings Nursery, ensuring a customer focused, reflective and high quality early years provision. You will have developed the skills and experience to progress into the Team Manager role (subject to successful probation).

The role requires the confidence to make day-to-day decisions thoughtfully and with a high degree of sensitivity to the needs of the children and families within our care. A successful candidate will need to be qualified to Level 6 in Early Years or a full and relevant related degree. We would love to hear from you if you feel you have the following attributes:

This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a permanent basis.
